GAPS, Georgetown Area Parkinson’s Support Group is a 501c (3) non-profit #82-4050031 as CTAP dba GAPS. GAPS is a FREE support group.

You are invited to be a GAPS Sponsorship Partners FY2024 at the tier level of your choice! Thank you for your interest to be a GAPS Sponsorship Partner! Our Partners are vital to the success of our mission. Here is more info about us/GAPS:

  • GAPS is a FREE support group totally administered by volunteers. Our ​mission is “To educate, support, and serve those with Parkinson’s disease, movement disorders, and their caregivers”.
  • GAPS facilitates support to our members in a monthly ‘hybrid’ GAPS support group meeting; monthly Caregiver’s meeting; and FREE exercise classes to our members.
  • GAPS offer monthly Educational Luncheons and yearly Vendor Health Fair.

Currently, GAPS email distribution is: 1464 Contacts, 1397 of these are subscribers.

GAPS Provides:

  • Opportunities of support for members and caregivers/care partners to discuss shared experiences and feelings in meetings and classes.
  • Sharing information/education beneficial to all members and caregivers/care partners through meetings, classes, emails, newsletters and symposiums monthly.
  • Therapeutic options for exercise weekly or monthly in classes for voice exercise/singing/exercise/yoga/art therapy and other social activities specific for Parkinson’s and movement disorders.
  • Support to Parkinson’s or Movement Disorder community and their caregivers/care partner daily with the goal to influence and support them to lead fulfilling, independent, and enriched lives with their disease through our social media and open communication.
  • GAPS is a FREE support group for all impacted by Parkinson’s or a Movement Disorder

GAPS ‘monthly’ Support Group Meeting(s) depending on tier level selected

GAPS ‘monthly’ Educational Luncheon for a “branded presentation” to reflect your company/organization’s uniqueness and specialty service/product:
This is a monthly luncheon on 2nd Friday with doors open at 11:30a and presentation at 12N. The event is held at The Grand Living, Forum Theatre https://grandliving.com/communities/senior-living-at-georgetown-georgetown-texas/

The sponsor will provide the lunch from the catering of their choice. GAPS will advertise, manage sign-up, advertise and set up/clean up.

GAPS ‘yearly’ Vendor Fair

Our vendor fair is a really fun event with a maximum of 50 vendors! It has set-up at 2pm and we end at 4:30pm. We request refreshments at your table and a door prize. There is no formal meeting however, it is very well attended and is advertised to all on our email distribution and to the local communities.

This is a favorite event for our members! We hope you consider joining us!

GAPS Sponsor Funding

Sponsorship partners funding will be used to help GAPS for the support of GAPS meeting facilities/advertisement/administrative and for meetings/exercise and event programs to benefit the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Community.

Partnership Levels 2024

Attendance and Participation

Monthly GAPS Meetings – 4th Thursday of the month except for November and December. We meet at the First Baptist Church, 1333 W University Ave, Georgetown, TX 78628. Partners are asked to set up at 2pm for 2:30 social and meeting starts promptly at 3pm and over at 4:30pm. See speaker list, page3

Monthly Caregivers Meetings – 2nd Thursday of the month except for December. We meet at the First Baptist Church, 1333 W University Ave, Georgetown, TX 78628. Partners are asked to set up at 1:45pm for 2p to 3:30p meeting.

Monthly GAPS Educational Luncheon – 2nd Friday of the month except for November and December. We meet at Georgetown Public Library, 402 W 8th St, Georgetown, TX 78626. Partners are asked to set up at 11am for a “branded presentation” luncheon at 12n to 2pm. Lunch must be obtained by library “Little Lemon Catering”. Meeting space includes seating for ‘75’ and wireless microphones and projector with screen.

Yearly GAPS Vendor Fair in June – meets on June 22, 2023. We meet at the First Baptist Church, 1333 W University Ave, Georgetown, TX 78628. Partners are asked to set up at 2:00pm for 2:30 pm social to 3:30pm vendor fair. We will have maximum ‘50’ partners in attendance, first ‘50’ sign up with payment…first confirmed!
